Crowds gathered to see Céline Dion outside the Royal Monceau Hotel in Paris on Friday. The Canadian singer caused a commotion with her ensemble, showing off a head-to-toe Alaïa ensemble from the upcoming Archetypes spring 2027 collection.

She opted for a pair of dramatic Cut Out High Boots in Suede, a new style from the brand. The suede boots featured a thigh-high design with a stiletto measuring 100 mm, just shy of a 4-inch heel. The Bi-material boots are made with both suede leather and stretch Lycra fabric for a snug fit.

The slip-on design features openwork on the foot that reveals the sides of her feet and an elongated pointed toe with a squared tip. The boots will retail for around $2,624.

She paired the boots with an Alaïa cotton wrap trench coat featuring a dramatic asymmetrical draped hem.

In her documentary “I Am: Céline Dion,” she opened up about her deep love for shoes. The singer reportedly owns more than 10,000 pairs. Part of her collection is kept inside a massive storage warehouse in Las Vegas, where she keeps the hundreds of pairs alongside her performance gowns and accessories.

“When a girl loves her shoes, she always makes them fit. I’ll make them work, I’ll make them fit,” Dion said in her documentary. She then explained that when she is shopping for shoes, if a store asks for her size, they’re asking the wrong question.

“No, you don’t understand. What size do you have?” explaining how she is always willing to buy any size from 6 to 10 and make it work by squeezing or spreading her toes. “I walk the shoe, the shoe don’t walk me.”

Dion announced in a video and a message projected onto the Eiffel Tower in March that she would make her return to the stage in Paris, after six years away from the public. In 2022, she shared that she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, a rare and incurable neurological condition.

The singer’s upcoming concert residency will begin on Sept. 12 at the Plénitude Arena in Nanterre, just west of Paris. The fall leg will run through Oct. 17, followed by 10 additional shows in May 2027. This marks her first major concert residency and return to a full live touring run since announcing her diagnosis.
