Celine and Reebok Set to Launch Freestyle Lo Sneaker, Release Date

Celine and Reebok’s collaborative sneaker is kicking off the fall season.

After first being revealed on the French fashion house’s Paris Men’s Fashion Week runway show in June, Celine has released the full campaign for the new shoe — an updated take on the Reebok Freestyle Lo silhouette.

The series of images give a glimpse into the breadth of the collection, which sees the new Celine/Reebok Freestyle Lo sneaker offered in eight colorways including Optic White, Black, Butter, Beige, Peanut, Dark Brown, Oxblood, and Fluo Red.

Along with the campaign, Celine described the collaboration in a short statement as “heritage two ways: Paris street, American movement,” as well as “the past, and the here and now.”

Indeed, Reebok first introduced the Freestyle sneaker in 1982 and served as a landmark style as the first athletic shoe created especially for women. It now gets a full update under Celine creative director Michael Rider in lambskin leather for the French label’s first known sneaker collaboration.

The June reveal of the shoe was also the official menswear debut for Rider, who was named to the top creative job at Celine in October 2024. He made his Celine debut in July 2025 with a coed collection for spring 2026, which took place between men’s fashion week in Paris and couture week.

Aside from its new tie-up with Reebok, the footwear in Rider’s first full men’s collection is wide-ranging for spring 2027, with several styles beyond sneakers involved. “What was so exhilarating about his show was the range of silhouettes and attitudes, which was echoed in the footwear,” WWD’s Miles Socha wrote in his June review. “Rider’s lace-up ballet shoes for men have been hugely influential, and here was a new array of ultra-flat, slipper-like shoes and boots, banged-up sneakers, earthy sandals and killer two-tone monk straps.”

The Celine/Reebok Freestyle Lo will be launching in selected stores and on Celine.com starting Sept. 10. An “Alldayeveryday” limited edition sneaker will also be available exclusively at the Celine Wooster and Celine Omotesando stores.
