We’ve been keeping an eye on Woodo since it was first announced for Switch back in 2024. This delightful-looking 3D puzzler warmed our cockles when it appeared back in the Indie World Direct earlier this year (accompanied by a Switch 2 announcement), and now, it finally has a release date.
Developer Tiny Monks Tales took to socials to reveal that Woodo will launch on Switch 1 and 2 on 16th September — that’s just one month away!
This is a 3D diorama puzzler where you have to plug wooden items into a wholesome little snapshot and watch the scene come to life as you do so. There’s a certain Unpacking vibe (though it won’t be quite as emotional, we imagine) to it, and the animations are so impossibly cute that the whole game feels like one big hug.

Now yes, September 2026 is a notoriously busy period to release a game in — this one arrives the very same week as heavyweights like Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave and Insomniac’s Wolverine — but those after something particularly cosy will want to carve out some time, nonetheless.
