Canada to announce milestone reached in negotiations with the U.S. to enhance commercial space launch capability


Thursday August 1, 2024 – The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities, accompanied by Member of Parliament Mike Kelloway (Cape-Breton – Canso),  will be announcing on behalf of Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs and François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, the most recent milestone reached by Canada and the United States in terms of enabling commercial space launch capability in Canada.

The Minister’s remarks will be opened to media followed by a Q&A.
