Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to be unveiled at the company’s Sept. 9 launch event, and a new rumor appears to be firming up the three-color lineup for these phones.

According to leaker Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo (h/t MacRumors), the iPhone 18 Pro is now in full production and is set to come in sky blue, pure black and burgundy models. Prior iPhone 18 rumors have pointed to these colors, although the names have varied (dark cherry instead of burgundy, for instance).

For anyone hoping for a silver or gray shade, this report suggests Apple may skip that color this year, instead bringing back black after abandoning it on the iPhone 17 Pro series. Last year, black was available on other iPhone models, such as the iPhone Air, the base iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17E.

With just about a week to go until Apple’s official event, it’s likely that reports on the iPhone 17 Pro’s looks will continue to leak. 

Even more prescient than the color of the iPhone 18 Pro will be its cost. The tech giant has hiked prices across other Apple products amid the ongoing memory shortage that’s making consumer electronics more expensive. 

The new Mac Mini with an M6 processor, for instance, starts at $899, which is quite a bit higher than the $599 Mac Mini with an M4 processor it replaced. It’s entirely possible that the iPhone 18 Pro line could have a higher starting price than the $1,099 iPhone 17 Pro, should Apple follow this trend. We’ll find out more on Sept. 9.
