Amazon Has Quite a Few PS5 Games Discounted Ahead of Black Friday Sales

When it comes to finding big discounts on physical video games, Black Friday is the time to watch out for. This sale event usually doesn’t start up until November, but Amazon’s been sneaking in some offers before then for eager shoppers to check out. Already the retailer has a solid selection of PS5 game deals available to look through, including a record-low price on Borderlands 4 and Resident Evil Requiem back to its lowest price point.

Requiem’s deal price is actually a return to the price we saw during Amazon’s recent October Prime Day sale event, which marked a full $20 discount off its MSRP. In a similar position is Star Wars Zero Company, which is just pennies away from its Prime Day price at the retailer, saving you just over $10 compared to paying its full cost.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is another that caught our eye – initially as part of the Square Enix sale that popped up at Amazon recently – that’s also returned to its lowest price point at Amazon. Right now it’s available for just $20, which is a steal in comparison to its launch price of $70. And with Final Fantasy VII Revelation coming out next year, this is a perfect time to play it if you haven’t yet.

Another standout game on sale right now is Pragmata, which is also back down to its lowest point at the retailer. It did dip to $39.99 during the most recent October Prime Day sale at Amazon, but that was exclusive to Prime members. For everyday shoppers, this is still a nice discount to jump on for one of our favorite games of the year so far.

Some other new releases from this year that are also on sale at Amazon are Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mouse: P.I. For Hire. Both of these have dropped to new lows at the retailer, so it’s a great time to pick them up if they’ve been on your wishlist. There’s much more to check out alongside everything I’ve mentioned, too. Have a look through our favorite deals above, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for even more early PS5 game deals as we inch closer to November.

If you’re curious when exactly Black Friday sales will kick off this year, that actually varies by retailer. In general, each year the sales seem to start earlier and earlier in the month (Best Buy even started on Halloween last year), so you’ll have plenty of time to shop around for gaming deals ahead of the holidays. Of course, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for the best discounts as they appear, so you can snag your favorites when they go live.

Until those sales officially start up, though, there’s actually quite a few gaming deals to check out alongside these PS5 offers right now. Amazon’s sale on select Square Enix games is still live and features even more discounted titles across Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 and Xbox Series X as well, if you’d prefer to buy for one of those platforms.

Additionally, our latest rundown of today’s top deals highlights other gaming offers that have caught our attention outside of physical video games (though there are a few featured in it). At the moment, it includes some gift card deals from Newegg across various platforms, price cuts on MicroSD express cards, and an Xbox Elite Series 2 core controller deal, among many other discounts. Check it out and grab the ones that catch your eye before they’re gone.
