On day five of the 2026 Venice Film Festival, Amanda Seyfried went full “balletcore” in a sweet Miu Miu look. The actress’ Sept. 6 appearance was punctuated by a stellar designer ensemble featuring breezy and comfortable pieces.

The “Mean Girls” star sported satin black Miu Miu ballet flats, a casual silhouette currently retailing for $1,070 on the brand’s website. The slip-on shoes consisted of shiny satin black uppers that transitioned into thin elasticized straps fixed with embroidered Miu Miu branding that sat across the tops of Seyfried’s feet. The shoes also featured rounded toes topped with dainty bows.

The soles were rubberized for a non-slip feel. This style was first presented during the brand’s fall/winter 2022 show. Since then, Miu Miu has launched the satin style in a slew of colorways, including white, red and even a bright sky blue. Ballet flats made their big return to the runway from 2020 to 2022 as the “balletcore” trend began to take over. The trend consists of feminine pieces affixed with plenty of bows. Designs from Miu Miu and Maison Margiela were a fixture of this trend, namely Margiela’s Tabi style.

Paired with her satin footwear, Seyfried donned a sky blue babydoll dress featuring a boxy construction and puffy sleeves. The dress sat off the shoulders. The style was also “balletcore” in nature, featuring feminine touches like those balloon sleeves. In addition to her dress, the actress toted a shiny leather Miu Miu bag styled with pearl earrings from Tiffany & Co. The entire ensemble was effortless and feminine, featuring classic silhouettes with girly details.

Seyfried has favored Miu Miu for her 2026 Venice Film Festival appearances. The day prior, the star sported a pair of satin mules from the brand, accompanied by a pink fringe-heavy dress, also from Miu Miu. The look was equally feminine and free-flowing as her blue babydoll dress and ballet flat combo.
