Amanda Seyfried saw inspiration in Victorian style and paid sartorial homage to her film “The Testament of Ann Lee” with her Rodarte look at the Golden Eve celebration honoring Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Mirren on Tuesday night in Beverly Hills.
The Oscar-nominated “Mank” star, who was styled by Elizabeth Stewart, turned to Rodarte’s fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection for her attire. The dress was crafted in simple black fabric, with a formfitting silhouette and strapless cut.

While the soft and sleek black dress certainly gave the look a classic palette, it was the white lace overlay on the bodice that served as the statement-making element of Seyfried’s designer attire. The ornately crafted lace piece featured a bevy of intricate botanical designs, with a bouquet of florals featured throughout in a symmetrical pattern.
The design harkened back to certain motifs featured in Seyfried’s film “The Testament of Ann Lee,” which features title cards ushering in new chapters as the film’s story of the Shaker movement founder Ann Lee progresses. With a high neckline and added velvet collar piece, Seyfried’s look merged Victorian sensibility with an updated modern flair.

As for her accessories, Seyfried kept it simple, wearing rings and earrings courtesy of Tiffany & Co. The subtle jewelry pieces lent themselves to complement and heighten the dramatic nature of Seyfried’s dress, without pulling the eye away from the intricacy of founders and creative directors Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s design.
Rodarte’s fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection channeled a Gothic vision for eveningwear, featuring textural variation and dramatic volumes with playful proportions featured by way of puffy sleeves and full and flowing skirts, among other design cues.
