Alyssa Doig joins Mash Strategy, Enterprise Canada promotes Katie Heelis to partner, Jonathan Scott joins Crestview Strategy

This week’s movers on the government relations scene.

Alyssa Doig (LinkedIn)

Alyssa Doig is joining Mash Strategy as a senior communications strategist

In a post made on LinkedIn, Doig announced her arrival at Mash Strategy.

“I’ve worked with Mash on a number of projects and a couple of campaigns over the years, and I have always been blown away by their talent, creativity, and innovation. I feel very lucky to be joining such an incredible team, and I can’t wait to dive in”.

Prior to joining Mash Strategy, Alyssa worked in the House of Commons, rising from a parliamentary intern in 2019, all the way to director of digital and Conservative Caucus services in the office of the Leader of the Opposition.

Katie Heelis (LinkedIn)

Elsewhere, Enterprise Canada has promoted Katie Heelis to partner, confirming the move in an announcement earlier this month.

“Since launching EnterpriseHealth in 2020, Katie has built a strong and growing practice, focused on helping clients navigate increasingly complex policy, stakeholder and communications environments. Her appointment reflects the impact of that work, her leadership across the company, and our continued investment in the areas where our clients need us most.”

Katie has been the lead of the Health Practice at Enterprise Canada, known as EnterpriseHealth, since 2019, holding the title of senior vice president from December 2024, until her appointment to partner.

Jonathan Scott (LinkedIn)

Finally, Jonathan Scott is joining Crestview Strategy as a vice president.

In a statement shared with iPolitics, the firm expressed their excitement to add Scott to the team saying “Jonathan understands how organizations build trust in the court of public opinion and how to advance major projects in politically complex environments. Whether it’s navigating the political and institutional forces shaping sustainable communities, directing clients through high-stakes decisions or helping clients control the narrative and win public opinion battles, Jonathan provides the strategic foresight needed to win.”

Jonathan brings with him 5 years of experience as a Councillor for Ward 2 in the town of Bradford West Gwillimbury while also serving as a board member for VIA Rail Canada from May 2024 until now.
