All the RPS Supporter rewards for September 2026: Model ships, maze cities, and the tyranny of content

In case you missed it, September happened. Technically it’s still happening, and we have one more exclusive post for RPS Premium Supporters coming this week, but this time I fancy doing the monthly rewards roundup within the month being rounded up. Lest armoured date pedants infiltrate my flat with breaching charges, and start hitting my shins with their pernickety sticks.

Thanks again to all our Supporters, preem or otherwise, and turbo double-thanks to anyone who filled in our Supporters survey. This has granted us some immensely helpful guidance on how to steer Supp rewards in the future, as well as some important feedback on the site more generally. You’re all, and I don’t say this about a lot of people, da best.

RPS Supporter rewards for September 2026

Crafting daft vessels in ShipShaper brings transient laughs, but its honest love for boat building is infectious

My demo impressions of ShipShapers: Falconeer Chronicles, a game about building ships and nothing else. A therapeutic bit of modelmaking, nonetheless.

“Can anyone think of another animal in a horror movie?” – Edwin Evans-Thirlwell, 2026

I dig how Sprawl Zero rampages along the mirror’s edge between world and corridor

Having exhausted his supply of cinematic deathpets, Edwin turns his attention to the curious urban geography of sci-fi shooter Sprawl Zero.

For the love of god, [Insert game name here], let me pause cutscenes, my bladder can’t take it

Demanding skippable cutscenes is yesterday’s cause. Pausable cutscenes, Julian argues, are a biological imperative.

I am exhausted by Vholume, which I think means it’s working

Mark has been muttering “Na na na na na na na na na na Batcarrrrrrrrrr” for days, and Automobilista 2 is to blame.

Behold! My desk is surrounded by books, D&D stuff from the ’80s, and a judgmental frog with its arms crossed

Jeremy continues our series of RPS writer desk tours. Possibly the sweetest one yet, and definitely the one with the tidiest visible bookcase.

Letter from the editor #20: Taking more care with my language

Julian’s monthly missive considers the pernicious influence of the word “content”, in the aftermath of yet more Microsoft/Xbox layoffs.

Scout Report: Roguehate aside, Rogue Eclipse is a pretty cool time

Sin had a little break this month, but was back in time to fly a starfighter directly into about five billion missile salvos. It is with great sadness that we announce our colleague Sin has exploded.

Cheers again, and consider supporting us if you haven’t already – Premium subs get access to all these articles, ad-free browsing, and more. Onwards, to October.
