Alienware Just Released the Least Expensive 27″ QHD 240Hz OLED Gaming Monitor Ever

Most people would agree that OLED monitors are as good as it gets for gaming. They’re also really expensive. Well, Alienware is bucking the trend in 2026 with one of the first OLED gaming monitor that actually caters to the masses. The 27″ Alienware AW2726DM QHD 240Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor is now shipping at a budget-friendly launch price of $349.99, making it the least expensive 240Hz OLED monitor I’ve ever seen at MSRP. Even so, it comes with the same three year warranty with OLED burn-in coverage you would get with Alienware’s other pricier monitors.

The Alienware AW2726DM is a 27″ monitor with a 2560×1440 resolution and a pixel density of 111ppi, which is sharp enough for both gaming and general workstation use and boasts excellent text clarity. The panel uses Samsung’s quantum dot OLED technology. A QD OLED panel is brighter and has a wider color gamut than the more commonly found W-OLED panel. OLED monitors in general offer superior image quality compared to other monitors thanks to a combination of instantaneous response time, near-infinite black levels, and near-infinite contrast ratio.

Most “budget” OLED monitors have a native 60Hz-144Hz refresh rate, but the AW2726DM ups the ante with a native 240Hz panel, making it a great choice for games that have high-speed motion or require twitch-like reflexes (for example sports games, racing sims, and first person shooters). You’ll need to make sure you have an appropriate graphics card to achieve 240fps on a QHD monitor, ideally something like an RTX 5070 Ti or Radeon RX 9070 XT, although an RTX 5070 will be fine for older games like The Witcher 3, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Counter-Strike, or Valorant.

Two of these monitors would make a great multi-monitor setup for the upcoming Forza Horizon 6 game. Two of these monitors side-by-side is equivalent to a 49″ monitor with 5120×1440 resolution and it will be a lot cheaper than buying a dedicated 49″ OLED monitor with similar specs.

Finally, the AW2726DM does include a 3 year warranty that includes burn-in coverage, which most other brands do not offer. Burn-in is less of an issue than it used to be because there are built-in, automated features designed to prevent it, but it can still happen. Dell offers assurance that it will address the issue if it ever arises.
