In 2025, Jordan Brand celebrated 10 years of its community-focused Wings program with a special Air Jordan 5 and this year, the Nike Inc. owned-and-operated label will continue the initiative on a new silhouette.

The Air Jordan 13 Retro Wings continues the Jordan Brand Wings program’s mission of strengthening communities by investing in the youth. More than just a sneaker, the Air Jordan 13 Retro Wings is the latest chapter in the brand’s decade-long global efforts to provide education, mentorship and inspiration in key basketball regions.

“To have a true legacy of greatness, it should start with education,” Howard White, vice president of Jordan Brand, said in a 2025 press release. “Wings has provided opportunities to more than 4,000 scholars around the world, allowing them to take their potential to the next level and truly help shape the future.”

As for the sneaker itself, the Air Jordan 13 Retro Wings references the model’s dimpled leather design with a new spin on the look. Rather than the leather side panels usually found on the sneaker, the Air Jordan 13 Retro Wings uses a denim construction with holes poked throughout. Multicolor hits appear on the outsole and further come to life on a graphic-printed insole.

“Over the next 10 years, the Wings program will play an even more pivotal role in tackling education challenges,” said Cameryn Rutlin, director of purpose at Jordan’s Wings program. “We will deepen our commitment to providing access to quality education and resources, particularly in communities that need it most. This includes expanding our reach to more cities and launching new programs, advocating for positive changes, and continuing to collaborate through partnerships to address evolving educational needs. Our goal is to be a leading force driving a generational legacy forward. By 2035, we are committed to empowering over 10,000 students to follow their dreams.”

The Air Jordan 13 Retro Wings will be released this month on July 24 for $215 from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Jordan Brand retailers. The sneaker features a Black/Black/Black colorway and its style code is IX1872-001.
