After a successful first week, Mistfall Hunter gets a roadmap promising a much requested solo mode for one of its maps

Mistfall Hunter launched last week, and so far it seems to be doing quite well for itself! Apparently there’s a million of you now running around its very Elden Ring looking lands and extraction fantasy lands (though these don’t sound like one million sales, to be clear). With a healthy, if currently fairly critical, community under the game’s belt, developer Bellring Games have shared a roadmap for its first and second season outlining what you can expect next.

The biggest thing, as addressed in this Steam blog post, is that after a lot of feedback, a solo mode is being introduced for both the normal and cataclysm difficulties of the Brandrgarde map. “That said, adding two new modes will inevitably split the matchmaking queue and present fresh class balance challenges in solo play,” the devs note. “We’ll continue to evaluate these factors and will communicate our findings with you before making further adjustments.”

Then there’s the three phases of season 1. In the first phase, an Einherjar mode is being added in, though details are slim on this. Seasonal tasks will also be introduced too, alongside the Soul Harvest, in which you can gather up soul cocoons, take on a (I think) boss called Soulgnawer, and take on a “multiplayer showdown.” A special shop will let you gain special collectibles, soul coins, and moonlight nectar.

Phase two will bring with it the full roster of season tasks, allowing Pip to unlock the rare pouch and Nether Ferry skin. It’s here where the solo mode for Brandrgarde will be added too, as well as an Underlord speed challenge where killing Underlords quickly gets you bonus rewards. Lastly, in phase three, a new monster called the Golden Woodling will be added in, a random match event dubbed Ancestor Tree can crop up, and completing certain tasks will tease aspects of season 2.

Speaking of season 2, a few details were shared for that. A new Blackarrow weapon, the javelin, will be added in for one. There’ll be a new season to theme and “exclusive gameplay,” as vague as that is, alongside a season-exclusive progression system. More details will be coming in time! You’ll just have to be patient ya cheeky mist hunters.
