Adidas Drops Gazelle Bringback Pack Inspired by National Soccer Kits

Leading up to the World Cup, Adidas recently brought back a selection of historic national team jerseys that includes Mexico, Argentina and Colombia. The Bringback look doesn’t stop there, though, as Adidas has also made a capsule of sneakers for the three countries.

The Adidas Gazelle Bringback pulls from the three enduring national kit aesthetics, all the way down to the shoes. Unlike the collection of shirts releasing under the same Bringback moniker, the shoes use more evergreen motifs for their respective countries. For Argentina, it’s blue on blue pinstripes. For Mexico and Colombia, it’s more intricate patterns rooted in their visual identities.

All three sneakers share a translucent gum outsole, gold embossed branding and a heel pull using their respective flag colors. Black leather stripes, as well as a sky blue mustache and lining, complete the color arrangement for Argentina. Colombia’s yellow patterned base gets blue striping, a red mustache and a white liner, while Mexico’s green base is hit with red stripes and white for the mustache and lining.

The race to capitalize on what’s been predicted as the biggest World Cup to date arguably began last year, as Adidas and Nike in particular ramped up its offerings of soccer-derived footwear. These appeals for the sport as lifestyle should continue to increase as the tournament draws nearer, including some predictable formulas and a good deal of surprises.

The Adidas Gazelle Bringback pack is out now on Dick’s Sporting Goods’ website, and other stockists may very well follow. Pricing for all three sneakers is set at $130.
