Cardi B is cooking with hair.

The Grammy-winning artist and seasoned runway attendee touched down in Milan for the spring 2027 presentation this week, packing plenty of statement styles.

No stranger to big hair, Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, brought attitude and volume to Roberto Cavalli on Thursday, commanding attention in a fur-lined caftan and a chocolate brown bouffant blowout. The curls, which spiraled around her, were arguebly louder than the print she was clad in. Crafted by celebrity hair architect Tokyo Stylez, the texture spoke to a different time, a decade defined by big hair, otherwise known as the ’80s.

The rapper isn’t the only star to take cues from beauty behaviors of the past. In fact, ’80s hair made its much-anticipated return to the runway during New York Fashion Week, with designers such as Diane von Furstenberg, Christian Siriano and Christian Cowan piloting the revival.

Von Furstenberg, specifically, was decorated with pattern-clashing personalities and punctuating hair — frizzy texture, fluffy bangs and all — while Siriano and Cowan offered their own modern take on one trend beauty enthusiasts swore they’d never see again: crimped hair.

Cardi B may not have tested the crimped waters, but she has boasted the bedhead version of big hair, with tangled inky black coils trailing down her back as she stormed the runway at Vogue World. Here, her hair resembled that of an ’80s rom-com star. Think Jennifer Grey in “Dirty Dancing” but with twice the volume and length.

She hasn’t stuck to the oversize silhouette this season, though. At the Off-White Imaginary Palace event on Wednesday, Cardi B tapped into contemporary trends, styling sleek, pin-straight extensions and micro bangs. The finely-combed ends finished well past her lower back, brushing over her hips as she posed for a photo. Meanwhile, the fringe fell in line with the top rim of her aviator shades, leaving little space for her forehead to show.

There’s no truly no style Cardi B won’t try. In July, the multihyphenate — who launched her hair care line, Grow-Good Beauty, in March — took her hair to new heights, crafting a spherical updo, courtesy of Stylez, at the Robert Wun fall 2027 couture show in Paris. It was the kind of avant-garde hairdo many typically shy from away, her ends wrapped in what appeared to be a bouffant dome atop her head.
