GTA 6 Fan Says Rockstar Sent Them a Poster Just Because They Asked Nicely

A Grand Theft Auto 6 fan in Brazil said they politely asked the Rockstar Games team to send them a poster – and it looks like they actually followed through.

Reddit user aogustoo shared their story in a post late last month. What began as a “shot-in-the-dark email” they sent to Rockstar asking for a signed GTA 6 poster has turned into what seems to be a heartwarming moment for them and the community.

“A while ago I took a complete shot in the dark and emailed Rockstar,” they said. “I shared how hyped I was for GTA VI and asked if there was any chance I could get a poster for my room.

“Honestly, I expected an automated reply or nothing at all. To my absolute surprise, an executive actually answered and shipped an official GTA VI poster straight from their New York office to my home in Brazil.”

You can see images, which show not only the poster but the emails they supposedly sent to receive it, above. As Rockstar (and the rest of the world) count down the days to GTA 6’s November 19 launch, fans will no doubt be on the lookout for official merchandise like this. As many have pointed out, it’s unclear if Rockstar truly took the time to send the poster, but the community is still looking to the moment as something worth celebrating as the countdown continues.

“This is a massive W tho,” Rockstar content creator @videotech said on X/Twitter. “This guy isn’t an influencer or someone famous, literally just a random Rockstar fan. Very kind of Rockstar and Take-Two to take the time and effort to do this.”

“I blurred out all personal addresses, names, and contact emails to respect their privacy,” aogustoo added. “Please don’t flood their inbox with requests, as I’m pretty sure this was just a rare act of kindness from someone on their team.”

There’s still so much about GTA 6 that we don’t know, but one thing is for sure: Rockstar will probably get even more emails after this. While we wait to learn more about the next Grand Theft Auto game ahead of its November 19 launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, you can check out IGN’s recent interview with Rockstar North’s Rob Nelson. You can also read about what Nintendo had to say about the chances of seeing GTA 6 on Switch 2, some recently revealed radio stations, and even a batch of new screenshots.
