Decorated former England batter Tammy Beaumont has signed a new two-year deal to remain with the treble-winning Blaze after retiring from international cricket.
The 35-year-old agreed new terms with the Trent Bridge-based side just three months after she called time on her career with the national side.
She followed up her international exit by helping The Blaze to a clean sweep of major trophies in 2026 as they won the T20 Blast, County Cup and One-Day Cup competitions.
Her latest deal means she will play on until at least 2028, which will be her 21st season in a career that started with Kent in 2007.
“I’m so excited to be here for another couple of years as we hopefully try to defend some of our trophies we won this year,” she told the club website., external
Beaumont has been with The Blaze since the team was renamed and relocated in 2022 from Loughborough, where she previously played for the club when it was known as Lightning.
The 2017 World Cup winner scored over 2,600 runs in 78 appearances across all formats for The Blaze and its predecessor.
More than 900 of those runs came in 35 appearances this season as she helped The Blaze to the treble of trophies in a milestone campaign in which she left the international stage after 16 years.
In total she scored more than 7,300 runs for England across 140 one-day, 109 T20 and 12 Test appearances for her country.
The Blaze head coach Craig Cumming said Beaumont would be an “incredibly important part” of the squad, describing her as “one of the highest-quality players of this generation”.
