Trainers have been waiting for a few months, and now The Pokémon Company has finally rolled out the Pokémon HOME update, adding support for Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen.
This bumps the app up to Version 4.1.0, and once you’ve linked the version of your choice (or both), you’ll be able to transfer Pokémon to HOME. Here’s how this update works, according to an official description from The Pokémon Company:
“Once a Pokémon from Pokémon FireRed Version or Pokémon LeafGreen Version is moved into Pokémon HOME, it will be unable to return to Pokémon FireRed Version or Pokémon LeafGreen Version. Pokémon from other games in the Pokémon series will be unable to visit Pokémon FireRed Version or Pokémon LeafGreen Version.”
As a bonus, if you’ve caught ’em all in FireRed & LeafGreen (and completed your Pokédex), you can also now receive the mythical Pokémon Celebi on the mobile version of HOME.
One other major part of this update if you’ve got a paid premium plan, is the ability to now deposit up to 9,000 pocket monsters (that’s 3,000 more than before). This update also allows trainers to transfer Pokémon GO Pokémon caught in Safari Balls to HOME.
