S&P/TSX composite rises amid tech sector strength, U.S. markets also move higher




TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index rose more than 100 points on Tuesday, helped by strength in technology stocks, while U.S. markets also gained ground.
The S&P/TSX composite index was up 130.96 points at 35,649.51.
