While high designers filled runways with odes to house codes and bids for the spring to come, A-list attendees held court in the front row this fashion month, with the over-50 crowd bringing their best beauty game.
From surprise bobs to a much-anticipated makeup (literally), the stars pulled out all the stops, pairing their luxury garb with glam that left a lasting impression. As another season winds down, WWD is looking back at the best hair and makeup moments from the latter half of Gen X.
Demi Moore

Demi Moore reignited her bob persona at the Thom Browne spring 2027 show during New York Fashion Week, deleting her extra-long ends for an above-the-shoulder frame. Clad in a nylon bomber, a sheer vest, a matching ankle-length skirt, a black tie and a pair of pebble-grain wingtip pumps, Moore’s coiffed bob complemented the Ivy-inspired style codes. Moore’s longtime stylist, Brad Goreski, who helped construct her fashion aesthetic for the show, confirmed the architect behind her hair: Hoshounkpatin.

At M&S 100 Years of Fashion, Joan Collins spiced her signature shoulder-length hair with blond highlights on the tips of her shag layers. The pop of color on her lips, a glossy hot pink, added an interesting texture to her otherwise achromatic ensemble, enlivening the look alongside her feather coat, which was casually draped around her waist. Artist Alyn Waterman crafted both her hair and makeup for the event.
Pamela Anderson

After years of swearing off the stuff, Pamela Anderson made up with makeup in Milan. The “Baywatch” star — who first declared the end of her high-glam run three years ago — marked the end of her hiatus with a Cleopatra-esque beauty look, featuring smoky black shadow and a ring of eyeliner crafted by the Pat McGrath team and artist Dmitry Kukushkin.
The shape of her shadow — a flat, elongated triangle, which traveled over her lids and protruded from her outer corners to the tips of her skinny brows — resembled that of the Egyptian queen. But her eyes also followed beauty‘s growing affinity for grunge and indie sleaze aesthetics, with product pooling below her waterline as it would post-party.
Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez served her own messy eyes at the Stella McCartney spring 2027 show in Paris. Complementing her hair color, Lopez’s visage played with a mix of autumnal tones, mainly burnt espresso and caramel latte. Likely crafted by makeup artist Scott Barnes, charcoal shadow formed clouds over her eyes, while brown-taupe liner and gloss dressed her lips.
Lauryn Hill

Lauryn Hill might have covered her face with shield sunnies for the Balenciaga spring 2027 presentation, but she made up for the lost space with textured hair and a statement lip. Her inky ends were braided in mini knots over her head, while her lips bore a rich burgundy that accentuated the hue of her dangly earrings.
