Here’s How Much A Business Class Ticket On Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 777 Actually Costs In 2026

Singapore Airlines is one of the best-known premium airlines in the world. Over the years, the carrier has invested heavily in its premium cabins and onboard products. Its business class is a major part of that offering and has consistently received recognition from the industry. At the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, Singapore Airlines was named the world’s second-best airline for business class and the best in Asia.

According to ch-aviation, the airline currently operates a fleet of 164 aircraft. This includes 58 Airbus A350-900s, seven A350-900ULRs, 12 A380-800s, 25 Boeing 737 MAX 8s, 22 Boeing 777-300ERs and 28 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners. The Star Alliance member offers business class across its entire fleet, and its 777 business class is among the best in the industry. It deploys the type on several long-haul routes across Europe, Asia, and Oceania. So, how much does a business class ticket on Singapore Airlines’ 777 cost?

There Is No Fixed Price For Singapore Airlines Business Class

There is no fixed price tag on a Singapore Airlines business class seat. Airline fares are no longer based on a simple system in which a set number of seats are sold at one price before the fare moves to the next level. These days, carriers increasingly use dynamic pricing and revenue management systems to adjust fares according to demand and availability. The Singapore-based airline follows the same approach, which means the price shown for a particular flight can change over time.

The route is one of the biggest factors behind the fare. High-yield corporate markets such as Singapore to London or New York can command higher fares than premium leisure destinations such as Bali or the Maldives. Demand also changes throughout the year, so major holidays, school breaks, and other busy periods can affect what passengers pay. Even the day of the week and time of travel can make a difference.

There is another factor that can make comparing business class fares less straightforward. Passengers sitting in the same cabin are not necessarily traveling on the same fare. Singapore Airlines sells seats through different fare buckets, which can carry different prices and conditions. Two passengers on the same 777 can therefore have paid different amounts for what is, from a cabin perspective, the same business class experience.

Take the airline’s Singapore–London Heathrow route, which is currently its longest 777-operated route, covering about 6,764 miles (10,885 km), as an example. Singapore Airlines currently operates four daily flights between Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) using a mix of widebody aircraft. Two are scheduled with the Airbus A380-800, one with the Boeing 777-300ER, and another with the Airbus A350-900. The 777-operated service departs Singapore at 12:35 PM local time and arrives in London at 7:30 PM.

Simple Flying checked Singapore Airlines’ website for fares on September 30 to see how much passengers would pay for the different services. The starting fare on three of the four flights, including the 777-300ER service, was around $7,780 (SGD 9,905.20). The A350-900 flight was more expensive, at around $9,736 (SGD 12,395.20). Looking across other travel dates showed a much wider spread. Some flights were available from around $5,944 (SGD 7,567.20), while others were priced at approximately $9,100 (SGD 11,585.20).

The difference wasn’t simply linked to the aircraft operating the flight. The 777-300ER service, for instance, was priced at $7,780 on September 30 but had a fare of $9,100 for the same service on September 27. The choice of fare also changes the price. The airline has three business class fare types: Lite, Standard, and Flexi. On September 30, the only option shown for the 777-operated flight was Business Flexi at $7,780.

On October 14, however, the Singapore-based carrier offered two options on the same route: Business Standard at $4,816 (SGD 6,132.20) and Business Flexi at $6,460 (SGD 8,225.20). Based on these fares, a passenger booking a Singapore Airlines 777-300ER flight on the Singapore–London route could end up paying anywhere from $4,816 to $9,100, depending on the date and fare available at the time of booking. It is worth noting that these figures are a snapshot of the fares available when checked rather than a fixed price for the route.

Furthermore, the fares also vary when the route changes. On the Singapore–Frankfurt service, for instance, a business class ticket on the 777-operated flight costs $4,480 (SGD 5,704.20) on September 30. The same service is priced at around $7,685 (SGD 9,785.20) on September 27 and $6,036 (SGD 7,686.20) on October 4. Paris is at the higher end of the fares checked.

On September 30, a business class ticket on the 777-operated flight costs $7,967 (SGD 10,145.20). The differences can also be seen on the airline’s routes to Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. On September 30, the 777-operated service to Auckland has a business class fare of $6,360 (SGD 8,097.80). The fare for Tokyo Narita is $4,905 (SGD 6,246.20), while Melbourne is priced at $5,128 (SGD 6,529.80).

The table embedded above shows the Singapore Airlines routes scheduled to be operated by the 777-300ER on September 30, along with the business class fares available for each service when checked. Depending on the route, passengers can therefore face a very different price for a 777 business class ticket. On some of the longer and more premium-heavy routes, a one-way fare can go beyond $9,000. On some routes within Asia, however, tickets can be found for around $800.

How Many KrisFlyer Miles Are Needed For Business Class

Furthermore, frequent flyers can redeem miles earned through Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer program to book a business class ticket. For services to London Heathrow, Paris and Amsterdam, passengers can expect to spend 108,500 miles on a Business Saver Award Ticket or 141,500 miles for a Business Advantage Award Ticket. The mileage requirement is lower on routes within Asia.

For destinations such as Shanghai, Beijing and Jakarta, passengers can expect to spend between 22,000 and 75,000 miles for a Business Class award ticket, depending on the route and award type. In November last year, Singapore Airlines also introduced a third type of award called Access. Unlike the two fixed award levels, Access uses dynamic pricing, so the number of miles required can change based on factors such as seat availability, the route, time of year, and cabin.

Because Access awards are linked to the availability of commercial seats, they are generally more widely available than Saver and Advantage awards. They can also be confirmed immediately, with no waitlist option. The trade-off is that the mileage requirement can vary depending on demand and availability rather than staying at a fixed award level.

What Passengers Can Expect In Singapore Airlines 777 Business Class

Overall, premium travel does not come cheap, no matter which airline you fly. If passengers are spending thousands of dollars on a business class ticket, they would also expect a high level of service and a comfortable seat for the journey. So, what exactly can passengers expect when flying Singapore Airlines business class on the 777-300ER? The Star Alliance member’s business class has long been regarded as one of its main premium offerings.

On the 777-300ER, it sits between first class and premium economy and features 48 seats. The seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, which gives every passenger direct access to the aisle. The seats are 28 inches (71 cm) wide and can be converted into fully flat beds. The bed is 73 inches (185 cm) long, or 78 inches (198 cm) when measured diagonally between the corners. The seat also comes with a full-width footrest and a storage area beneath the footwell.

Each seat also has an 18-inch (45 cm) HD in-flight entertainment screen and a wired remote controller. Perhaps the only consideration for passengers who value privacy is that the seats do not have privacy doors. Singapore Airlines reserves its suite-style products for first class on its A380s. Passengers can still expect a premium experience beyond the seat itself, including luxury dining, lounge access and a range of other benefits on the ground.

Singapore Airlines’ 777-9 Will Introduce A New Business Class Product

Indeed, Singapore Airlines’ 777-300ERs are getting older, with the average age of the aircraft standing at about 16.4 years. The airline is planning to phase out the type as it begins taking deliveries of the Boeing 777X. It has 31 Boeing 777-9 aircraft on order, and the new aircraft will introduce a brand-new business class product that will replace the current seats that debuted in 2013.

The new product will also bring Singapore Airlines more in line with other leading airlines that have introduced business class suites with doors. While the current 777-300ER seats offer plenty of space and convert into fully flat beds, their design means passengers have to sleep at an angle when the seat is converted into a bed.

The new product is expected to address some of those quirks. The seats will have a large footwell positioned directly in front of the passenger, along with forward-facing seats that allow passengers to sleep straight ahead rather than diagonally. The seats will also feature a large entertainment monitor and additional storage space for items such as bags, jackets, and other personal belongings.
