My review: From morning meetings to happy hour, the J.Crew Verona Ballet Flats ($148) were a comfortable companion. I logged around three miles walking the streets of NYC; through potholes and puddles, the high-vamp silhouette and elastic trim kept me snug. The center-seam detail was a pleasant surprise when I looked down at the round-toe flats. With any new shoe, I expect a “break-in” period, eased with Band-Aids, but with the J.Crew Verona Ballet Flats, I didn’t need a single one. That alone earned them a spot in my shoe rotation.
