No one loves a platform heel quite like Salma Hayek Pinault. The 5-foot, 2-inch actress is in New York for the “Without Blood” press tour, also stopping by the 2026 U.S. Open, all while wearing various platform shoes, which have become her go-to shoe style over the years.

At the start of her career, Hayek Pinault preferred a dainty strappy sandal. But in recent years, she climbs into towering platforms from Gucci, Saint Laurent and more for her various red carpet appearances and outings, which she often pairs with long gowns, wide-legged trousers and skirts.
The actress stepped out in an all-black lace and tulle ensemble in New York on Monday. She wore a sheer black lace top paired with a coordinating midi skirt featuring tattered tulle ruffles along the hem. She completed the look with platform patent-leather heels, oversize sunglasses, a slim belt with a gold buckle and a structured Gucci Borsetto handbag. The black patent leather platform pumps featured a sky-high, block heel with an ankle strap, and a round toe with cutout sides.

The “Frida” star also stopped by “The Tonight Show Featuring Jimmy Fallon” wearing another pair of platform heels. This time, she paired her platform heels with a shorter hemline, which elongated her legs. She opted for a black leopard-print midi dress with a pearl-embellished collar.
Hayek Pinault opted for a pair of silver metallic platform high-heel sandals with an ankle strap. The shoes feature a wide-toe strap that wraps around the top of the shoe, creating an open-toe design. The shoes stand tall on a hefty platform and a wide block heel measuring around five inches in height.

Hayek Pinault then arrived at a screening of “Without Blood” in yet another pair of platform heels. She proved that the hefty shoe style can also be paired with an elegant dress. The actress also prefers a floor-length gown for the red carpet, and relies on the tall heels to give her the necessary boost to wear longer hems.
She opted for a bright-red asymmetric one-shoulder dress at the screening. The vermillion single-shoulder gown featured soft ruching along the waist and a formfitting silhouette. She once again strapped her feet into black platform heels, which peeked out from beneath the long hem as she walked.

The style appeared to be one she has worn before, which featured cross-over straps at the vamp, a flared block heel and a platform at the front. The shoes appeared to be made with a lustrous satin material.
While already in town ahead of the press tour, the “Grown Ups” star also attended the 2026 U.S. Open Tennis Championships on Friday. There, she wore a dark navy leather or satin-finish suit set paired with a white crew-neck top. She punctuated the suit with a lighter shoe style, going for platform sandals in beige with a chunky block heel. The shoes peeked through the bottom of the pants’ hem, and they elevated the actress’ relaxed look.
