After a stellar World Heavyweight Championship match, some fans believe WWE missed the boat by not booking Penta to win against Roman Reigns.
Reigns retained the title against Penta in a brilliant match in Mexico, where a raucous crowd cheered on the luchador to defeat the OTC.

While Reigns retaining the title was expected, there is a portion of the audience that wishes WWE’s creative team would have been more gutsy and given Penta the win.

WWE fans believe Penta should have beaten Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship
After the completion of the World Heavyweight Championship match on RAW, WWE’s social media team was quick to drop their result graphic on X.
Many fans flooded the comments section to criticise the booking and Roman Reigns for seemingly exercising his rumoured creative control on the finish.
One fan wrote, “What a bunch of boring little f—– in that writers room. Just absolutely no joy in them…”

Another fan referenced current AEW star Andrade El Idolo’s recent comments about Samoan wrestlers, saying, “Triple H really went to Mexico for RAW tonight and had all the Latinos lose. Maybe Andrade was right.”
“This company is run by cowards,” wrote a third fan frustrated that they didn’t put the belt on Penta.
A fourth fan claimed that WWE had missed the boat on making Penta a megastar, writing, “That was your guys chance to make Penta a star and you guys blew the wide-open layup… Looks like Roman is holding that belt till Mania at minimum.”
While remaining more optimistic about Penta’s future, one fan criticised Triple H’s methodical booking, noting, “Penta will win one day! Great match but Triple H is scared to pull the trigger.”

And lastly, one final fan suggested Roman Reigns exerted his rumoured power to alter the finish, saying, “His Creative Control said, ‘Nah, Brother.'”
Coming into the weekend, there was a sense of optimism that WWE would try the exciting option of making Penta the world champion, even if it is for a brief period of time.
This belief only grew as WWE allowed three world titles to change hands across the weekend, including CM Punk dropping the WWE championship to Sami Zayn.
However, WWE appear to be playing the long game with Roman Reigns, who was confronted off-air by LA Knight, setting up a title match at the upcoming Money in the Bank event.
