Today, Gears of War launches our fifth year of the Never Fight Alone campaign, an ongoing commitment to help prevent suicide, in partnership with Crisis Text Line and UK-based illustrator Luke Preece.
Rooted in our franchise’s purpose of creating meaningful bonds and a place of belonging, The Coalition donates 1% of net revenue from its products to our global partner Crisis Text Line, which recently expanded its global reach by joining forces with Aquí Estoy, a non-profit organization serving people in need across 20 Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America, Spain, and the Caribbean. To date, Never Fight Alone has supported over 16,000 Crisis Text Line conversations.
“We’re proud to stand with The Coalition and its players in reminding those who are struggling that they are not alone and there are readily available resources to support them. We are honored that our five-year-and-counting partnership continues to show what’s possible when a gaming community remains dedicated to mental health,” said Dena Trujillo, CEO at Crisis Text Line. “The Gears of War community has helped more than 16,000 conversations happen when people needed them most, and with Gears of War: E-Day and the Never Fight Alone Charity Bundle, that impact keeps growing.”

Each year on September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day, we renew our commitment and give our fans a way to support through limited-edition merchandise. This year’s campaign artwork comes from longtime Gears of War: E-Day collaborator Luke Preece, an illustrator best known for his work with metal acts including Metallica, Sleep Token and Ozzy Osbourne, as well as science-fiction franchises such as Aliens.
Preece’s designs appear on a 2026 T-shirt and hoodie available through the Xbox Game Studios Shop, as well as new in-game items arriving at launch.
When Gears of War: E-Day launches on October 6, players will be introduced to the Never Fight Alone Charity Bundle, featuring a unique character skin, weapon skin set, emblem, banner and icon. All net revenue from the bundle will be donated directly to Crisis Text Line to support its free, confidential, 24/7 mental health and crisis intervention services.
Gears have each other’s backs through everything. If you, or someone you know is struggling, we encourage you to reach out by texting GEARS to 741741 to be connected with a Crisis Text Line volunteer.
