Veteran outside linebacker Von Miller will be playing the 2026 season with the Dallas Cowboys.
Although the 37-year-old is yet to even play for the Cowboys, he is already suggesting that Jerry Jones is not paying him what he deserves.

Miller was left to rue a huge missed opportunity last year after choosing to play for the Washington Commanders instead of the eventual Super Bowl winners, the Seattle Seahawks.
With his career nearing its conclusion, Miller has returned to the place where he was born as the Cowboys continue their defensive rebuild.
The veteran will provide a huge amount of experience to some of the new recruits.
However, it is apparent that the 37-year-old would have appreciated a slightly higher payday from Jones.

Miller signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys, which is worth $5.5m, but could rise up to $7.5m through performance-based incentives.

The 37-year-old ended the 2025 season with nine sacks, which was mightily impressive given his age.
Clearly, the veteran believes his efforts last year warranted a higher salary offer than what Jones has given him in Dallas.
“My contract is what it is. They’re not paying me for what I do on the football field,” he said on the Free Ranger podcast.
“If I go out there and get 8 sacks, 10 sacks, I’m way underpaid. They’re paying me, and my contract is what it is to be the locker room guy…”
Miller has earned around $200m throughout his career, which is certainly not a number to be sniffed at.

At this stage of his career, many would imagine Miller would just be looking for the opportunity to add another Super Bowl ring to his collection.
However, it is clear that he is starting the season with a chip on his shoulder over his salary.
From Jones’ perspective, this should give Miller the incentive to push himself and reach his performance-based goals to improve his payday.
