KAWARTHA LAKES — Provincial police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing airplane.

The OPP says the small aircraft is believed to have travelled into the Kawartha Lakes area, home to a chain of lakes in Ontario’s cottage country.

Police say the plane did not return as expected.

They described the plane as blue, single-seat aircraft with the letters “FOFZ” on the tail.

OPP spokesperson Jill Rashotte said police had no additional details.

Rashotte said the investigation into the missing plane is ongoing in the Kawartha Lakes region and anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP.
