Jacob Glick has joined Anthropic as its head of public policy for Canada.
“Tthere is a lot of important work to do on AI policy in Canada, and a lot of people already doing it well. I’m looking forward to learning from them and contributing where I can,” Glick said in a post on LinkedIn.
He joins Anthropic after serving as Amazon’s head of public policy for Canada for the past two and a half years. Prior to his time at Amazon, he was vice president for public policy at TELUS from July 2020 to March 2024.
Sussex Strategy Group has named Cassie Wang as its new chief financial officer.
“[Cassie] brings extensive leadership experience across technology, professional services, and high-growth businesses. She specializes in technology-enabled finance transformation, operational leadership, and building the financial foundations organizations need to scale with confidence.” the organization said in a press release.
Wang perviously served as head of finance for Lightship Security Inc. She was also simultaneously an advisor at Vayu, a revenue software company, as well as the chapter lead for the Operators Guild for all initiatives in Canada.
Counsel Public Affairs has brought on board Sara Loft as its senior advisor and head of their Nibwaakaawin Indigenous Engagement practice
“In her new role, Sara will support organizations seeking to build effective, culturally respectful relationships with First Nations and Indigenous peoples and communities. […] She brings deep experience across government, Indigenous business, community engagement, policy and governance, economic development, and corporate reconciliation.,” the firm said in a statement on LinkedIn.
Loft comes from running her own consulting firm, Tawi:ne Consulting Inc. that focused on Indigenous engagement, consultation, and project management. Before starting her own firm, Sara was vice president of business development at Ishkonigan Inc.
