7.4-magnitude earthquake in Colombia kills at least 20


At least 20 people were dead and buildings in multiple cities collapsed when a 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia on Monday, authorities said.

The temblor, which struck near San José del Palmar on Colombia’s Pacific coast shortly after 8:30 a.m., sent people fleeing homes and buildings in Colombia and neighboring Ecuador.
