Breeze Airways Launches 7 Massive New International Routes: See Flights Here

Breeze Airways is set to launch seven new international routes between September and March 2027. While these corridors have already been announced separately, this article will summarize them all and place them in the wider context of Breeze’s operations at the turn of the year. One thing to note straight off the bat is that all of them will use its Airbus A220s as opposed to its Embraer E190s.

These aircraft have the benefit of not just more seats overall (137 as opposed to 108), but also the presence of a premium cabin. This product is known as Breeze Ascent, and its 12 seats are laid out in three four-abreast (2-2) rows at the front of the aircraft before the cabin transitions to the A220’s classic five-abreast (3-2) economy layout.

According to Cirium, an aviation analytics company, three of the seven new international routes that Breeze is set to launch originate in Tampa. The first of these to take flight will be the route to San Jose in Costa Rica, with twice-weekly flights commencing on October 3, 2026.

Breeze is then set to add two more new international routes from Tampa in December, serving Cancun in Mexico and Montego Bay in Jamaica. Both of these services will commence operations on December 19, and, like the San Jose route, they will also operate twice a week. Michael Stephens, Tampa International Airport (TPA) CEO, commented on the new routes earlier this year.

“We’re thrilled that Breeze is adding these routes that give our travelers even more ways to experience the beauty and culture of Latin America and the Caribbean.”

Another US airport set to house multiple Breeze international routes launches between is Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). On January 7, Breeze plans to operate three flights a week from here to both Cancun and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, with the routes running until March 23.

Elsewhere in the US, Richmond International Airport (RIC) will also be treated to a new Breeze route to Cancun in the coming months. Passengers flying on this corridor can expect a twice-weekly service that will start on January 8 and run through to March 22. With a block time of three hours and 46 minutes, this route clocks in at 1,271 miles (2,045.5 km).

The seventh and final new Breeze international route set to launch in the coming months originates at John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH). Its destination is another familiar one, namely Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, and these flights will operate twice a week from January 8 to March 22. Passengers on this route can reckon with four-hour block times.

Despite Breeze’s upcoming international growth, its foreign footprint is set to remain relatively small in comparison to the larger scale of its domestic operations. This December, Breeze has scheduled 68 international departures from the US. Contrastingly, the same month will see it operate a total of 8,476 domestic flights.

Returning to December 2026, Breeze’s most frequently served international route in the last month of this year will link Tampa with Nassau in the Bahamas. On this route, its A220s will fly four to five times a week. Domestically, Orlando to Raleigh-Durham tops the list, with three flights a day.
