The Flip 8 carries over many of its predecessor’s best features, which earned the Flip 7 a place on our list of the top phones of 2026. The Flip 8 also comes with a $100 price increase, making it even more enticing to find a deal on a Flip 7 right now.
The trick is finding one. With the Flip 8 in the spotlight, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 has become increasingly hard to find at most retailers. Stock is thin right now, and direct discounts are even thinner. Trade-in offers are often the best option. While only a couple of carriers still have the Z Flip 7 lineup in stock at all, we’re keeping a close eye on restocks. CNET’s mobile expert Patrick Holland gave this phone rave reviews for its gorgeous display and top-notch features. However, the $1,100 starting price can be intimidating for some. Holland was impressed by the new Galaxy Z Flip 7 in almost every way, specifically citing its thinner design, smaller crease and stunning AMOLED display. The phone has a 4.1-inch cover screen and a 6.9-inch interior display, and it is just 4.2mm thick when open (or 8.9mm when closed). It has an Exynos 2500 processor, 12GB of RAM, a 4,300-mAh battery and a high-resolution 50-megapixel rear camera. The device also includes 12-megapixel front cameras on the cover and the interior screen, making it easy to take selfies from a distance.
And then there’s the more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which starts at $900 rather than $1,100. It has a slightly smaller display, a thicker design, an Exynos 2400 processor and 8GB of RAM. But it’s still equipped with the same 50-megapixel camera and has many of the same features, including IP48 water resistance, 25-watt fast charging and onboard AI.

Although right now Samsung isn’t offering any direct discounts, the unlocked Z Flip 7 is in stock, including an online exclusive mint color. If you have a device to trade in, Samsung will give you up to $570 credit. Note that Samsung’s carrier models are all currently sold out.
At the moment, Best Buy doesn’t have any unlocked Z Flip 7 configurations in stock. However, you can purchase a carrier model with AT&T or Verizon. Do keep in mind that only the 256GB Jet Black color is in stock at the moment. You can save a little if you have an older phone to trade in. Your purchase also comes with a free one-month membership to Xbox Game Pass Premium, whether you’re a new or returning subscriber.
If you’re okay with a professionally refurbished model, Backmarket currently has the Z Flip 7 unlocked for $574, which is $425 off the standard retail price for a new model. In addition, you may save more with trade-in. It’s also worth noting that Backmarket has locked versions of the Z Flip 7 for Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T if you’re already with one of those carriers.

What colors does the Galaxy Z Flip 7 come in?
There are three basic colors for the Galaxy Z Flip 7: jet black, blue shadow and coral red. An exclusive mint green is also available but only when you order online through Samsung. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is only available in black or white, and there aren’t any Samsung-exclusive colors.
