There has already been some news this week about the cast in the upcoming Zelda movie, and now Deadline is reporting Lydia Peckham is set for the new live-action film.
The New Zealand actress previously worked with director Wes Ball on his 2024 release, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. She is also one of the main characters in the MGM+ series, Robin Hood. At this stage, it’s not known what role she will play. Studio reps have apparently declined to comment, and the actresses’ reps could not be reached.
Earlier this week, there were reports the legendary actor Sam Neill would appear posthumously in the Zelda movie. Uli Latukefu will supposedly play Ganondorf and Dichen Lachman’s name has once again been linked to the role of Impa. Yvonne Strahovski is also involved, but sources haven’t been able to confirm her role. Leading the cast is Bo Bragason’s Princess Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link.
The Legend of Zelda movie will arrive in cinemas next year on 30th April 2027. Later this year, Nintendo is celebrating the series’ 40th anniversary with a remake of Ocarina of Time for the Switch 2.
