What counts as cyberpunk anyway? Easy, it’s whatever games are currently tagged as “cyberpunk” on Steam and therefore part of the Steam Cyberpunk Fest, a sale running until 10 am on August 10 with the baffling tagline: “They say never look back. Cyberpunk says ALWAYS be in the future. Think about it.”
Whatever that means, what’s important is the discounts that will help us fill our backlog with even more games about cyborgs and hackers and sticking it to the man. Here are some of the highlights.
- Slow-mo brawling with a bossy hacker lady who grades you, Ruiner: 90% off, $1.99
- Immersive sim about ex-spy on the run off the grid, Neon Struct: 90% off, $1.79
- Action RPG where you cross lovingly detailed arcology, The Ascent: 75% off, $7.49
- Baffling vomitcore corpo assassin simulator Cruelty Squad: 90% off, $1.99
- Best cyberpunk story this side of Snow Crash chapter 1, The Red Strings Club: 80% off, $2.99
- Recruit a ghoul samurai and convince people he’s a movie star, Shadowrun Hong Kong: 75% off, $4.99
- Turn-based stealth is a good idea actually in Invisible, Inc: 75% off, $4.99
- Historic low price for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade: 65% off, $13.99
- If ya basic, Cyberpunk 2077: 70% off, $17.99
There are plenty of other bargains in the list if you want to dig down the Steam page, and if you still don’t own the original Deus Ex that’s half-price while Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut is 85% off.
