I’m a minimalist dresser, but as soon as summer rolls around I tend to become a bit more experimental with my wardrobe. Typically favouring neutral tones and simplistic styles, once summer hits I completely step out of my comfort zone and begin injecting colour and prints into my wardrobe. Unsurprisingly, Zara has mastered colour trends for the season and there are a few new shades set to step into the spotlight.

Trusted classics such as deep browns and crisp whites are a no-brainer and play an integral role in a summer wardrobe, while soft dusky pinks and pastel blues are emerging, working seamlessly together or separately to feel effortlessly luxurious. Butter yellow is undeniably a longstanding favourite and is as prominent a colour trend this summer as it was last, in the form of slip dresses, classic shirts and linen trousers.
