Roma hold another transfer summit ahead of Wales trip

After many weeks of waiting and disappointment, with the Greenwood and Summerville deals falling through, Roma has begun its transfer campaign aimed at strengthening the squad.

Roma fans welcomed Santiago Castro last night at Termini station: a deal worth approximately €35 million plus bonuses and a 10% share of any future resale.

The Roman club wants to accelerate, and Ryan Friedkin has sent another signal.

As Il Messaggero reports, a transfer market meeting took place yesterday evening at Trigoria to finalize the next moves to raise the level of Gasperini’s squad. D’Amico was, of course, present, as was Roma’s vice president on the call.

Gasperini, who will be leaving with the team on Friday for the second phase of the summer training camp, will also be present. New signing Santiago Castro, who was warmly welcomed by the fans at Termini station, will also be present.

The owners, even in yesterday’s meeting, made it clear they would like to give the Grugliasco-born coach another signing who can work with the Giallorossi at the Vale Resort in Hensol and take part in the three friendlies scheduled against Cardiff, Newport, and Brighton. The primary target remains the right-footed left winger.
