Skims Elevates Tracy Nguyen to Chief Communications Officer

Skims, the intimate apparel brand founded by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede, has promoted Tracy Nguyen to chief communications officer, a new post.

In the expanded role, Nguyen will continue to lead global communications for Skims, while taking on broader oversight of entertainment, sports and brand partnerships.

Since joining Skims in 2024 as executive vice president of communications and entertainment, Nguyen has been the driving force behind the brand’s global communications strategy and cultural relevance. Most notably, she was instrumental in guiding the landmark partnership between Skims and Nike and was subsequently named co-general manager of the venture in 2025.

In her expanded role, Nguyen will remain co-general manager of NikeSkims, while also leading global communications, brand collaborations, and cultural activations for Skims. She will oversee the development of celebrity, talent and sports partnerships, reinforcing Skims’ position at the intersection of culture, fashion and entertainment.

“From her time as a trusted adviser across the entire brand portfolio — when Skims was just an idea — to joining Skims in a formal executive capacity more than two years ago, Tracy has been an incredible partner and leader,” said Kim Kardashian, Skims chief creative officer and cofounder. “She understands the brand at its core — how to protect it, grow it, and put it in front of the right audiences at the right moments. This well-deserved promotion reflects the trust that Jens and I have in Tracy’s strategic and creative thinking.”

“Tracy has proven time and again that she has one of the sharpest instincts in the industry,” said Grede, Skims chief executive officer and cofounder. “Expanding her role to give her broader oversight across Skims’ global communications, entertainment, sports and brand partnerships feels like the most natural next step. We’re excited to see the incredible ways she’ll continue to help us grow.”

Nguyen will be based in New York and reports to Kardashian and Grede, who started the brand in 2019 by reimagining women’s underwear, loungewear and shapewear. Skims Mens launched in 2023.

“I’m so grateful to Kim and Jens for their trust, leadership and partnership. Skims has already redefined what is possible and with so much more ahead, I couldn’t be more excited to continue building together with our incredibly talented team,” said Nguyen.

Prior to joining Skims in 2024, Nguyen was chief brand officer for KKW Brands since 2017, where she worked closely with Kardashian across her portfolio. She also cofounded Industry Public Relations, which she helmed for over a decade. She also held leadership roles at People’s Revolution, 5W Public Relations and Sunshine Sachs.
