Alexander Ludwig Named Global Brand Ambassador for Perry Ellis’ on its 50th Anniversary

Alexander Ludwig, the actor best known for his roles in “Vikings” and “The Hunger Games,” is joining the Perry Ellis family.

Ludwig, who is also a filmmaker and musician, has been named the brand’s new global ambassador as Perry Ellis — which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year — works to refine its market positioning. The goal is to highlight the brand’s elevated essentials and tailored looks that feature performance properties and a sophisticated aesthetic.

The company cited Ludwig’s “rugged, authentic charm and polished, red carpet style” as well as his ability to juggle a demanding Hollywood schedule with a love for the outdoors.

“We are thrilled to welcome Alexander to the Perry Ellis family at such a defining moment for our brand,” said Todd Challe, senior vice president of global marketing and communications for Perry Ellis. “Alexander embodies the very essence of the modern Renaissance man: dynamic, authentic, and effortlessly versatile. As we continue to elevate the brand, his ability to seamlessly transition from the rugged outdoors to the red carpet perfectly mirrors our vision. He is the ideal partner to help us introduce this next chapter of refined, functional luxury to a global audience.”

“I have been a fan of Perry Ellis for many years and am so grateful to be sharing the stage with a company that celebrates confidence, individuality, and timeless style,” said Ludwig. “I can’t wait for the world to see what they have done with this new collection.”

The campaign will launch in August.

The actor is filming the fourth season of HBO’s “The White Lotus,” and will appear in Netflix’s thriller, “Unabomber” this fall. He will also star opposite Emma Roberts on “Hal,” and will make his directorial debut alongside Carla Gugino in “Billings,” where he will also play the leading role in the indie drama.
