Nashville Airport is one of the world’s older continuously operating major international airports, having been established in 1937. It is now an operating base for Southwest Airlines and Allegiant Air. Its busiest international route is to Toronto Pearson in Canada, with London Heathrow coming second.

Coming in third is Heathrow to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas. A total of 158 one-way flights are scheduled (316 flights with return flights). The average distance is 4,751 miles (7,635 km), and these flights will generate 249 million ASMs while carrying 52,298 seats.
This is a route shared with American Airlines, which dominates it. British Airways is to operate a single daily flight with a mixture of Boeing 787s, A350s, and A380s. The flight takes off from London Heathrow at 5:05 PM and from Dallas at 7:40 PM daily. Meanwhile, American operates four flights daily on the route departing Dallas at 3:10 PM, 5:45 PM, 9:30 PM, and 11:15 PM.

The giant American Airlines uses both of its Boeing 777s and Boeing 787s on the route. With around 1,000 mainline aircraft, American is in the running (with Delta and United) for the status of largest airline in the world by number of aircraft. Despite its size, it only operates Boeing 787s and 777s and has not ordered the upcoming Boeing 777X.

Denver International Airport, Colorado, in each direction. The distance on this route to the Rockies is an average of 4,671 miles (7,505 km). The A350-1000s are also scheduled to carry 69,510 seats in each direction and generate 325 million ASMs for British Airways.
For the first part of the year, from the beginning of January to the end of March, the route was served by a British Airways Boeing 777. After that date, it has been served by an Airbus A350-1000. It departs Heathrow at 4:25 PM local time. The flight takes off from Denver at around 6:35 PM and takes around 9.5 to 10.5 hours to complete the journey to Heathrow.
The other airline serving this route is United Airlines, with twice-daily flights departing Denver at 5:35 PM and 8:25 PM using mostly Boeing 787s. United was to become the second US-based airline to operate the A350 (after Delta). However, after a dispute with Rolls-Royce, United has removed the A350 order from its fleet plan.

Heathrow To Philadelphia

The next busiest route for BA’s A350-1000s is from Heathrow to 
Philadelphia International Airport. This route is to see near-daily (341) A350-1000 flights each way. The route is an average of 3,546 miles (5,696 km), carries 112,871 seats, and generates 400 million ASMs.
So far this year, the British Airways route (flight BA67) has been exclusively served by A350-1000s. Being shorter than the Denver route, it only takes around 7.25 hours from Heathrow to Philadelphia and 6.25 hours from Philadelphia to Heathrow. Famously, flight times are shorter when flying eastwards across the Atlantic.
The flights depart London at 4:45 PM and Philadelphia at 6:50 PM. The route is shared with American Airlines, which operates it twice daily, mostly with 787 Dreamliners. These flights depart Philadelphia at 7:35 PM and 10:15 PM. American operates a fleet of around 70 Boeing 787 Dreamliners alongside a fleet of 67 Boeing 777s, of which 20 are 777-300ERs.

The three busiest British Airways A350-1000 routes to the United States scheduled for 2026 are a three-way tie at 365 flights daily (each way). These aircraft are configured the same, and so all carry 120,815 seats in each direction. As a tie-breaker, they are ranked here by distance. The route from London to Austin Bergstrom International Airport in Texas is the shortest at 4,915 miles (7,901 km).
According to Flightradar24, this route is currently exclusively operated by British Airways, which operates the route twice a day. The first flight departing from Heathrow at 3:25 PM is with an A350-1000, while the second flight departing at 8:35 PM is with a Boeing 787-8. While both of these aircraft are widebodies, the number of seats is considerably different.
At British Airways, the A350-1000s are configured with 56 business class seats, 56 premium economy seats, and 219 economy class seats for a total of 331 seats. The shortened 787-8s are configured with 31 business class seats, 37 premium economy seats, and 136 economy seats, totaling 204 seats.

Heathrow To Las Vegas

The British Airways route to Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport is also one of the three busiest A350-1000 routes, and measures 5,230 miles (8,404 km). On this route, BA is joined by its UK-based rival, Virgin Atlantic, which operates its Boeing 787s on the route.
For its part, British Airways is currently operating the route daily at 8:00 PM from Heathrow and a second flight three days a week from 2:55 PM local time. The daily flight is served by its A350-1000s, while the second flight is served by Boeing 787-9s. No US-based airlines are serving the Heathrow to Las Vegas route.
Virgin Atlantic is notable for being one of the few larger airlines to exclusively operate widebody aircraft ( although Emirates handedly wins this competition). It operates a fleet of 14 A330s (including eight A330neos), 12 A350-1000s, and 17 Boeing 787-9s. It has another 11 A330neos on order, and these will replace its remaining fleet of six aging A330-300s. Its A350-1000s come in two seating configurations, with 335 and 397 seats.

Heathrow To Phoenix

The route from Heathrow to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona is BA’s busiest US A350-1000 route with 637 million ASMs. It is scheduled to operate 365 (daily) flights on the route in each direction, and at 5,271 miles (8,472 km) it is marginally (41 miles) longer than the route to Las Vegas. British Airways’ flight to Phoenix departs London at 7:05 PM and from Phoenix at 9:10 PM.
The westbound journey to Arizona takes around 10 hours, while the eastbound return trip to Heathrow takes around nine hours, sometimes a bit more than nine hours. The only other airline currently serving this route is American Airlines, which operates the route daily with its Boeing 777s. Interestingly, none of the British Airways A350-1000 routes to the United States are served by Delta Air Lines.
Additionally, none of British Airways’ A350-1000 routes are on its highly lucrative and popular London-Heathrow to New York JFK route. This was the first route in the world to generate over a billion dollars in a year. BA is currently operating nine daily flights on that route, mostly using its Boeing 777s and 787s; it also operates twice-daily flights to Newark Liberty in nearby New Jersey. The Heathrow JFK route is served by JetBlue, Virgin Atlantic, American, BA, and Delta.
