The best mods to use in Palworld

The best Palworld mods run the gamut. Some mods will let you bypass some annoying grinds, whereas others will add quality-of-life features that are just nice to have.

If you’re lamenting that you’re playing on a console and can’t mod the game, remember that you can tweak your world’s settings to make gameplay a bit more smooth (things like increasing catch rate, EXP gains, and the like), without necessarily using mods.

Here are our favorite Palworld mods. To download them, follow the specific set of instructions for each mod — they usually tweak either your Steam or Game Pass download’s Engine.ini file — and run free into the sunset.

More Status and Tech Points

Download from: Nexus Mods

More Status and Tech Points incrementally increase the amount of technology and stats points you earn per level, making it so that you can earn up to eight times what you normally get. (You typically get one skill point per level.) It’s compatible with both Steam and Game Pass.

MapUnlocker

Download from: Nexus Mods

You reveal pieces of Palworld’s map as you explore the world in-game, but wouldn’t it be nice to start with it all already at your fingertips? MapUnlocker reveals the entire map to you from the start (though it doesn’t activate any fast-travel points), and it works in multiplayer on Steam. As of this writing, the Game Pass version has not been fully tested by the mod’s creator, but it should work.

Creative Menu

Download from: Nexus Mods or Steam Workshop

If you want to play Palworld in a sandbox mode where you can give yourself Pals and freely build a cool base without having to worry about materials, this is the mod for that. It’ll open a menu where you can give yourself items and Pals with a click of a button.

Less Restrictive Building

Download from: Nexus Mods

This mod will let you place clipping furniture and walls without having to do any roundabout glitches, so you can build a giant palace with ease.

Base Camp Construction Area x1.5 or x2

Download from: Nexus Mods

Some folks like to combine their bases to make one giga-base, but with this mod, you don’t have to waste your base slots to do so. After installing this mod, all bases placed down will be even bigger than before, giving you lots of space to build.

All Storage Slots x10 – Guild Chest x10 – Pal Disassembly 100

Download from: Nexus Mods

If you want to minimize how many chests you have around your base, this mod will help reduce clutter by adding more storage to each individual chest.

Infinite Weight In Camp

Download from: Nexus Mods

This mod is particularly useful if you’re renovating your base, as breaking down walls and whatnot usually results in your pockets full of stone and other heavy materials. With this, you can freely just hold all of that stuff, so long as you’re within your base.

Download from: Nexus Mods

If you don’t want to have to build a specific base for farming crude oil, this will help you bypass that. Usually, you have to place an oil rig on an oil deposit, which requires you to build a base in Sakurajima, where these oil deposits are found. Even at that point, these oil extractors are eyesores, often sitting in the middle of your base. This will let you build one anywhere, and it’ll still extract oil.
