When, over the span of just a few months, a hyperspecific shoe trend is spotted on Chanel It girls like Teyana Taylor and Kristen Stewart at the Gotham Film Awards and Hailey Bieber, you know it’s about to blow up. The odds literally couldn’t be any better. The style in question? Cone heels—which are shoes with a heel shaped like a cone, as the name suggests—have quietly entered fashion’s good graces over the course of 2026, with shoppable options by Chanel and Christen, as well as affordable alternatives from H&M and & Other Stories.
What makes cone heels so enticing right now is how subtly cool and impactful they are to any outfit, particularly jeans outfits, as proven by Bieber. The Rhode founder posted a mirror selfie to her Instagram Stories right before the official announcement of her new Gap jeans collaboration, wearing a pair of low-rise, dark-rinse jeans with a cropped baseball tee and cone-heel thong sandals. On such a momentous occasion, her jeans could easily have been the star of the look, but the unique heel shape on her shoes drew me in instantly. Unlike a stiletto or a wedge, there’s no gray area with a cone-heel shoe. They always look expensive, whether they actually are or not.

As previously mentioned, this isn’t the first cone-heel sighting in recent months. Last winter, Teyana Taylor, alongside Kristen Stewart, attended the Gotham Film Awards in New York City, wearing the shoe trend, both opting for a dipped-toe pair from Matthieu Blazy’s debut Chanel collection. The style in question is made of soft leather and features a delicate cone-shaped heel and a glove-like fit, finished off with a toe cap that appears to be “dipped” in color. (Taylor’s were white with a black toe.) She paired it with a full Chanel look, including an ivory-colored silk T-shirt and a feathered, voluminous red skirt.

Clearly, cone heels are as versatile as any heeled shoe, but with an added touch of intrigue and uniqueness that you won’t get from opting for a wedge or a stiletto. Not everyone has them, automatically making whatever you style them with appear more interesting.
Ahead, shop the trend from high to low.
