The woman who narrowly lost the race to become B.C. Conservative leader is pushing back at Pierre Poilievre’s recent jab about her campaign team.

Caroline Elliott posted a video on social media today, telling Poilievre she’s supported him and that she’s disappointed in his comments.

While speaking at the Calgary Stampede over the weekend, Poilievre congratulated the B.C. party’s new leader, former MP Kerri-Lynne Findlay, saying she’d won against “Liberal lobbyists from out east.”

The jab was apparently directed at Kory Teneycke, a former staffer for Stephen Harper who has run campaigns for Ontario Premier Doug Ford and has been critical of Poilievre.

But as Elliott pointed out, her campaign team also included a number of Poilievre’s former staff.

Elliott told the Conservative leader that it’s time to unite, not divide.
