Lauren Bennett, singer on ‘Party Rock Anthem,’ dies at 37

“Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us,” the members of G.R.L. wrote.

“We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us,” they said. “Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.”

Another member of G.R.L., Simone Battle, died in 2014.

G.R.L. started in 2011 as a relaunch of the group Pussycat Dolls but changed its name to G.R.L., Rolling Stone reported at the time. The group was known for “Ugly Heart” and was also featured on Pitbull’s hit song “Wild Wild Love.”

“Party Rock Anthem” was one of two songs by LMFAO to reach No. 1; the other was “Sexy and I Know It.”
