Citi Says Oil May Slump to $60 as Hormuz Shock Fades Away


The Strait of Hormuz — which links Persian Gulf producers to global markets — was subject to a double blockade during the US-Iran war, which erupted in late February, throwing energy markets into disarray. Tehran and Washington have agreed to a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, to pause the hostilities, with the two sides seeking a permanent agreement.
