Team USA will look to wrap up its World Cup 2026 first-round campaign as Group D winners as they go in search of a third successive victory in today’s clash against a Turkish team now playing for pride.

Mauricio Pochettino’s opponents have already qualified for the Round of 32, having followed up their 4-1 thrashing of Paraguay in their opening fixture with a comfortable 2-0 victory against Australia in Seattle last week.

The tournament has meanwhile been one to forget for Turkey, with Vincenzo Montella’s team failing to live up to its dark horse billing. Having slumped to a hugely disappointing 2-0 defeat to Australia in their tournament opener, the Turks’ first-round exit from the competition was sealed at the weekend after they failed to break down 10-man Paraguay, slipping to a frustrating 1-0 defeat.

Turkey takes on the USA in this Group D match on Thursday at Los Angeles Stadium (SoFi Stadium), with kickoff set for 7 p.m. PT. That makes it a 10 p.m. ET start on the East Coast in the US and Canada, a 3 a.m. BST start in the UK and a 12 p.m. AEST kickoff in Australia on Friday.

How to watch the 2026 World Cup using a VPN

If you’re traveling abroad and want to keep up with all the World Cup action while away from home, a VPN can help enhance your privacy and security when streaming.

It encrypts your traffic and prevents your internet service provider from throttling your speeds. Additionally, it can be helpful when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks while traveling, providing an extra layer of protection for your devices and logins. VPNs are legal in many countries, including the US and Canada, and can be used for legitimate purposes such as improving online privacy and security.

If you choose to use a VPN, follow the provider’s installation instructions to ensure you’re connected securely and in compliance with applicable laws and service agreements. Some streaming platforms may block access when a VPN is detected, so verifying if your streaming subscription allows VPN use is crucial.
