On par with PS4 ports like Tales of Arise or Lies of P, it seems. No word on the six-pack’s Switch filesize yet (four-pack in terms of gameplay, but “six-pack” sounded punnier)? I dare hope it will be substantially smaller there; the Gen 10 port’s corrected 54 Gb do tempt an assumption of ~20 Gb based on the earlier “541.992 Gb” listing goofup.
@Haruki_NLI I mean, that’s what the “available as a Game-Key Card release on Switch 2” line is about.
@JamesS2612 the external storage is almost thrice that of Switch OLED. Filesize bloat and the need for faster external memory that has yet to saturate the market for more manageable pricing are only more reminders that the frixel bubble is ripe for bursting… but will not as long as at least one of the console juggernauts also happens to make TV sets.
@DiamondJim while the 40+ Gb of XC2 and XC3 ports apiece were misreported, they’re still around 30, and apparently so is XC1 (itself previously mislisted at the Gen 9 filesize). If Monolith Sparkin’ Soft can only so do so much with the compression this generation, I’m not holding my breath for many third parties to. 1080p/4K is really the one thing I honestly dislike about the new console – it has been nothing but a liability.
@the_beaver at least it’s the actual game here unlike 358/2 Days and Re:Coded. As for naming conventions, many Japanese creators have a field day with those, from Evangelion Rebuild movies to Hiroyuki Sawano’s track titles including Xenoblade X OST to NIS games like Hotaru no Nikki and Void Terrarium whose proper titles I would have to google and copypaste.😅
@OorWullie it could also be better like 234-235 Gb (the amount a 256 Gb memory card factually gives you).
