Multiple People Shot Near Street Festival in Toledo, Ohio, Police Say


The police in Toledo, Ohio, said a shooting near a community festival on Saturday had left multiple people injured.

The police said they initially responded to a report around 5:37 p.m. of a person shot near the Old West End Festival, a community street fair.

But when officers arrived, they found that multiple people had been shot, the department said on social media.

Many of the victims were taken to a hospital, the police said. The police did not provide details about their injuries or about the number of people who had been injured.

What led up to the shooting was unknown.
