Sydney Sweeney to Star in and Produce ‘Hollow’

Sydney Sweeney continues to set up more new projects, and is also taking more control behind the scenes, setting up production company Honey Trap.

Deadline reports that The first official movie to emerge from her new deal is ‘Hollow’, which will see filmmaker Lindsey Anderson Beer directing and adapting her own debut novel.

With Sweeney, Beer and Margot Robbie’s production label LuckyChap also involved, this will no doubt be a hot package sure to attract interest from studios and streamers, so expect it to find a home soon.

What’s the story of ‘Hollow’?

The novel is described as a bold reimagining of ‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,’ told through the perspective of Katrina Van Tassel. Reframing one of literature’s most iconic heroines, the novel positions Van Tassel not as a romantic prize, but as the central figure in a dangerous mystery and seductive supernatural love triangle.

This story blends gothic atmosphere, psychological intrigue, and erotic thriller elements into a contemporary, high-concept reinvention of the classic tale. And the book? Not due until fall 2027.

Sweeney will play Van Tassel in the eventual movie.

Where else can we see Sydney Sweeney?

Where can’t we see her at the moment? Sweeney has a variety of movies in the works, including a sequel to ‘The Housemaid,’ historical drama ‘The Custom of the Country,’ and sci-fi pic ‘Gundam’ all at various production stages.

And now that she’s free of ‘Euphoria’s clutches, her schedule will be even clearer.
