Olivia Rodrigo embraced a classic pump silhouette recalling decades past when she went to BBC Radio One in London on Thursday to promote her upcoming album “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.”

Going for a socks and heels look — an ongoing trend that’s also been embraced by the likes of Mel B and Chloe Kim — Rodrigo wore a pair of black pumps with a thick almond toe and semi-circle block heel. The silhouette included a low vamp and the sole of the shoe subtly jutted out in front of the toe, adding to the chunkiness of the style. The footwear had a vintage aura, and paired with her white knee-high socks and polka dot dress, the singer-songwriter almost looked plucked out of the London mod scene of the ’60s.

Indeed, Rodrigo’s collared minidress was actually from the early ’70s, as she showcased a Rudi Gernreich design once worn by model Peggy Moffitt, who was a muse and collaborator of Gernreich’s. In addition to a black and cream polka dot pattern, the look featured a cropped green vest adding a layer of bright color. Rodrigo, who often wears vintage pieces, works with sister styling duo Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo.

Rodrigo has been busy lately promoting her upcoming third album, set for release on June 12. Her shoe looks in her new musical era have ranged from soft girl vibes in pink Aquazzura sandals and Miu Miu ballet flats (worn on “Saturday Night Live”) to edgy buckled knee-high boots (worn while filming a music video).
