Secretary of State Sarai to highlight government investments in grocery affordability


June 4, 2026 – The Honourable Randeep Sarai, Secretary of State (International Development), will make an announcement in Surrey, British Columbia to mark the first payment of the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit.

Attendees should arrive no later than 9:15 AM PDT for the press conference. A feed box will not be available onsite and media representatives should bring their own microphones.
