We’re firmly in summer mode now. Holidays booked, out-of-office replies drafted and that long-imagined Greek escape finally within reach, which means there’s only one thing left to consider: packing a holiday wardrobe that feels as good as the destination itself.

The new-in sections at Zara and H&M are currently brimming with pieces that could easily pass for designer resort-wear, without the price tag to match. Think beautifully cut linen trousers and matching sets, airy cotton dresses, intricately embroidered blouses and those minimal, expensive-looking sandals that pull everything together.
